Arbitration: Representing clients in mandatory and elective arbitrations; resolving disputes outside of court.
Business Formation: Determining with our clients the type of business entity best suited for their needs; business planning; drafting partnership agreements; forming corporations, joint ventures, limited partnerships, and limited liability companies; preparing organizational documents; registering businesses with all necessary governmental agencies, whether foreign or domestic.
Business Law: Working as counsel for business clients in a wide array of industries, including the restaurant industry, the hospitality industry, and the real estate industry; writing franchising and licensing agreements; negotiating transactions; advising on officer and director liability; protecting shareholder rights; representing buyers and sellers in stock sales and asset purchases.
Civil Litigation: Representing individual and corporate clients in disputes over contracts, premises liability, trade secrets, branding, slander, and libel. Representing plaintiffs and defendants in construction litigation, real estate litigation, mortgage fraud, partnership disputes, business dissolution, franchisee/franchisor litigation, and lender liability litigation.
Family Law: Representing and protecting client interests in divorces, property divisions, debt allocations, child support collections, child support negotiations, child support modifications, child visitation matters, adoptions, custody modifications, collaborative law, and in family matters that involve the Attorney General and Title IV-D court proceedings; drafting pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements; drafting cohabitation agreements.
Mediation: Resolving disputes before and during litigation; forging solutions from the candid disclosure of all relevant facts by both parties; honoring the confidentiality of mediation.
Probate and Guardianships: Probating Wills; representing estates and beneficiaries in simple and contested proceedings; determining the appropriate type of estate administration when the deceased has died intestate; drafting Affidavits of Heirship, Small Estates Affidavits, and applying for court-created Independent Administrations; representing executors and beneficiaries in probate proceedings and estate matters.
Real Estate: Representing contractors, developers, architects, landlords, tenants, buyers, sellers, borrowers, and lenders in both commercial real estate and residential real estate transactions, including hotel construction and development, restaurant leasing, automobile dealerships, office space, apartment complexes, and rental housing.
Wills, Trusts, & Estate Planning: Determining the estate planning strategies and methods appropriate for each client’s needs; preparing simple and complex Wills, durable financial powers of attorney, medical powers of attorney, and directives to physicians (living wills); creating Bypass Trusts, Qualified Terminable Interest Property (QTIP) Trusts (including Marital Deduction Trusts), Life Insurance Trusts, and other testamentary trusts, including contingent minor’s trusts and Revocable Living Trusts (RLTs); providing counsel regarding estate planning, including the creation of family limited partnerships.
